1. Create opportunities for people to evaluate our service/product.
2. Request testimonials.
3. Simplify the process of providing testimonials.
A testimonial is a positive evaluation of a product or service. Potential customers (who have never used our service or product) cannot judge whether our service or product is good unless they can experience it themselves or see its effects.
Invest a little, give them the chance to fully try our service or product. Be upfront from the start, and inform them that, in return, they will be asked to provide a testimonial after trying it out. It’s a fair trade: my service or product for your kind words.
Make it easy for them to give that testimonial by providing a form (for example) with specific questions that focus on the aspects (features and benefits) from which we want to obtain testimonials.
Ask questions like:
“What do you like about our materials?”
“What do you appreciate about our efficiency?”
“How can your friends benefit in the same way?”
Good luck trying it out!
