When you are in a service-based business, how you do something is basically how you do everything.
Being a trainer, especially, how you behave in another trainer’s programme, speaks volume about your own character.
And as a trainer, two (2) things define your character more than anything else:
1️. Trustworthiness
When you honor your words and commitments, people can rely on you. This builds trust, which is essential for any successful endeavor. People are more likely to collaborate with, invest in, or support someone they trust.
2️. Credibility
Following through on commitments demonstrates your reliability and competence. It shows that you’re not just someone who makes promises but someone who takes action and gets things done. This establishes your credibility and makes you someone that others want to work with.
So, keeping your word and following through on commitments are fundamental to achieving success because they build trust and credibility.
At the very least, put in the effort to communicate or apologise for not being able to deliver on your promise – regardless if it was your fault, intentional or not, or due to unforeseen circumstances.
