People who are in their mid-30s should seriously consider becoming trainers!
Why?
1️. If you have been in the same industry from Day 1, then you would have a decade of experience by now – those are tacit knowledge that could be converted to training content that can benefit others .
2️. You are at the right age to become the bridge between top management (mostly consisting of the earlier generation) and new hires (mainly from the latest generation) – you would be able to guide them to understand each other’s expectations better.
3️. You come from a generation that is technology literate but still understand the importance of organic social interaction – you can teach soft skills and hard skills in a more holistic manner.
The only thing you need to do now is to decide whether sharing knowledge and developing people is something you enjoy doing and don’t mind investing effort in.
