The GROWTH Model
G.R.O.W. is a coaching model developed by Sir John Whitmore which provides a framework of four distinct stages of coaching, namely goal setting, assessing the current situation, how they perceive the issue, exploring the ideas or option available to address the issue, and commitment to action steps going forward. We at Access Ideas Malaysia has added another 2 dimension to this model which is Time and Habits. It forms a very useful guide for a coach to structure a coaching conversation and the same time ensuring that each important element covered.
